Simone dos Santos Hoefel, PhD.  Graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Mogi das Cruzes (1995), Master in Numerical Methods in Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (2002) and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2006), Post Doc from the Federal University of Paraná (2008), Post Doc in State University of Brasília (2009) and Post Doc from the LacTec (2010). Currently, is a professor at the Federal University of Piauí and founder of the Laboratory of Methods of Computational Modeling (LAMEC), develop projects and activities related to the use of numerical methods, in particular, of the mechanics of solids and fluids, including structures, soils, soil-structure interaction, and fluid-structure.
