Development of critical sense

Investing in research promotes more specialized training, favouring important aspects for the development of undergraduate students. Through the project, for example, it is possible to have greater critical sense, creativity, discipline, among other relevant qualities. The work also expands the student's worldview, directly influencing his performance in the job market. 

Increase chance of standing out in job interviews

 

Another advantage is that it increases the chances in selective postgraduate processes and in the student's professional practice. Currently, the research work contemplates a series of aspects valued in the market, such as critical analysis, autonomy and determination to overcome difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the possibility of standing out in job interviews increases considerably, making you a more competitive professional.

Networking with professors who are references in the field

 

Last, but not least, it provides the undergraduate student with direct contact with professors who are references in their areas of expertise. Thus, the student has the chance to enhance his networking, absorbing technical and methodological knowledge that collaborate to expand the learning of his object of study .

Research Topics

LAMEC's ​​research covers metamaterials, and beam modeling, using methods such as FEM and BEM through programming for advanced modeling and analysis of mechanical systems.

About LAMEC

LAMEC is a research laboratory at UFPI. We develop projects aimed at the application of advanced numerical methods in vibration analysis.

LAMEC contributes to the advancement of knowledge through research encouraging scientific production, interdisciplinary collaboration and the application of computational methods in engineering.

External Relation and Collab

LAMEC collaborates with researchers from USP and UNICAMP, in addition to maintaining connections with former students who work at international universities and large companies, strengthening its research and innovation network.
